crew of LST 1122 1952 TO 1956
Most of these pictures were sent to me by email.

LTJG OBrian
One of the officers aboard the LST 1122

loading tanks aboard the ship
The officer is unknown-- Condon on the right.

If anyone knows the officers name, please email me.

Adkins
I don't have any information on Adkins. If anyone knows him, please email me.

loading the main deck
The main deck is loaded with barrels of aviation fuel. Below decks were tanks, jeeps and other vehicals.

Liberty, somewhere in Japan
I don't know the city in this picture. I could say, at that time, the cities all looked alike, but that's not entirely correct.

Hale---Bob Hand----Ray Sizemore
While examining this picture closely, I noticed in front of Hale is the Gyroscope, which is mounted on bearings which keeps it level no matter how bad the ship rolls. Notice how it is tilted up on one side like the ship is in a storm. Anyone have a better explaination?

1952 Boot Camp Drill Instructor
Ray Sizemore, Bud Ferling and myself, Bob Hand, joined the Navy and went to boot camp in July 1952. Ray saved a picture of our D.I. Don't remember his name, but if he's still alive he must be 100 years old. The 3 of us were sent to the LST 1122 after boot camp and stayed together through out our 4 year hitch.
